A MESSAGE FROM THE PRESIDENT OF THE ORANGE COUNTY HISPANIC BAR ASSOCIATION
The Orange County Hispanic Bar Association mourns the death of George Floyd, Breona Taylor, Tony McDade and the many other people murdered at the hands of injustice. We stand along with their families, friends and our whole country as we mourn their deaths and demand justice be done. We stand in solidarity against racism, discrimination and police brutality. We embrace all marginalized groups and people of color. Given the recent events we especially stand today with the Black community, in pursuit of systemic change, unbiased treatment and equal justice for ALL.
There is no place in our Country or this world for racial or social injustice. Every person deserves to be treated humanely and in an unbiased manner. We believe in and support the rights of all individuals including the
Black and Latino community. June is Pride month. All have a right to equal justice under the law and to peacefully protest to bring about much needed change. We hope that peaceful assembly can be used to effectuate inclusion and change. We look to community leaders to address the issues of social injustice and discrimination experienced by all including our Latino community.
We must learn to live together and use our voices to guide the hearts and minds of all toward reforms to rectify injustice. Let us all be Visionaries for Equality & Opportunity.
Warmest regards,
